- Abstract
- The New York City tax lot base map is part of the Department of City Planning's ongoing COGIS project. The tax lots in conjuction with the tax blocks provide a schematic overview of New York City's tax geography. The tax lots are available in MapInfo .TAB and ESRI Shapefile formats.
- Purpose
- The tax lots in conjunction with the tax blocks provide a useful schematic representation of New York City's tax geography. These data are updated on an annual basis and used for numerous projects throughout the city, both public and private, and are integral in providing and reviewing city services.
