Frost-free Period (Polygon) is a polygon theme representing areas of similar duration of frost free periods. Frost-free period is the period when minimum air temperatures near the ground are above zero degrees Celsius so frost does not occur. The duration of the annual frost-free period is one of the principal climatic characteristics that affects the development of biota, human life, and economic activity.
