This polygon shapefile depicts the service boundary fo the Sacramento Area Sewer District (SASD) in the County of Sacramento, California. The SASD is a sewer utility providing service to more than one million residential, commercial and industrial customers in the Sacramento region, including the unincorporated areas of Sacramento County; the cities of Citrus Heights, Rancho Cordova, and Elk Grove; as well as portions of the cities of Folsom and Sacramento. SASD is overseen by a Board of Directors consisting of the five Sacramento County Supervisors and the mayors (or their designees) of the cities of Citrus Heights, Elk Grove, Folsom, Rancho Cordova and Sacramento. This layer is part of a collection of data originally produced for Sacramento County, California.The Sacramento County Geographic Information Systems (GIS) unit falls under the purview of the Sacramento County Department of Technology and is tasked with initiating, integrating and promoting the use of GIS Technology in the support of County business goals and objectives. This coverage can be used for basic applications, such as viewing, querying and map output production, or to provide a base map to support graphical overlays and analyses of geospatial data.
